The Hanley Award for Vision & Leadership in Sustainable Housing
The Hanley Award for Vision and Leadership in Sustainable Housing is presented annually for extraordinary, lasting, and far reaching contributions to the advancement of sustainable housing in the United States. The $50,000 Hanley Award is the largest annual award in the housing industry recognizing significant achievement in this crucial area.
Each year a select nominating committee creates a slate of noteworthy candidates choosing from within the residential construction professions, technical research, product development, educational outreach, environmental advocacy, governmental policy, and related areas. Nominees are individuals or groups who have made deep, long-standing, and influential commitments to sustainability, and who have made significant and lasting contributions to the widespread implementation of environmental building concepts, techniques, and innovations. A distinguished panel of judges names the Hanley Award winner from this exceptional slate of nominees.
The Hanley Award Dinner

The awards presentation will be held at a gala dinner produced by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) at the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo. The dinner will kick off the Residential Summit at Greenbuild, and host 150 dignitaries representing the leadership of green residential building in the US.
